  • Luc Besson

    Luc Besson, a French director born on March 18, 1959, boasts an extensive filmography, having directed, written, and produced more than 150 films. His works, such as Léon: The Professional and The Messenger: The Story of Joan of Arc, earned him César Award nominations, and he won the Best Director César Award for The Fifth Element. He competed with American studios through Taken and The Transporter, both produced entirely by French teams. Lucy remains the most commercially successful French film worldwide. The Academy of Cinema Arts awarded him an exceptional gold medal during the 40th César Awards. Among his directorial highlights, The Big Blue (1988) is considered one of his most iconic successes.
  • Paolo Carnera

    Paolo Carnera, an Italian cinematographer born in Venice, graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome, where he studied under Carlo Di Palma. He has worked as a Director of Photography with many acclaimed filmmakers, including Paolo Taviani, Mario Martone, Fratelli d’Innocenzo, and Stefano Sollima, on films such as Leonora Addio, Nostalgia, Bad Tales, and Suburra,among others. These films have been featured at prestigious festivals, including Berlin, Cannes, and Venice. In 2023, he collaborated with Matteo Garrone on Me Captain, which was nominated for Best International Film at the 96th Academy Awards.  Carnera has received seven David di Donatello nominations. In 2020, he won the Silver Ribbon for Bad Tales. In 2023, he won the David di Donatello Best Cinematography for Me Captain.

    Chinese actor, graduated from Shanghai Theatre Academy. His representative works include: The Police Diary, Black Coal, Thin Ice, So Long, My Son, etc. In 2009, he won the Outstanding Actor Award at the 10th TV Movie Lily Award for his acting in the movie Crazy Rose. In 2013, he won the Best Actor Award at the 26th Tokyo International Film Festival for his acting in the movie The Police Diary. Later, for his acting in the movie So Long, My Son, he won the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival, the Best Actor Award at the 32nd Chinese Golden Rooster Film Awards, and the Annual Actor Award of the 11th Chinese Film Directors' Guild Awards. He is the only Chinese actor who has won the Best Actor Award at both Eastern and Western top-tier international A-list film festivals.

    Laura Citarella is an Argentinian filmmaker. She has been part of El Pampero Cine – an independent group of filmmakers based in Buenos Aires – and from there she has been producing and directing films for almost 25 years. As producer, some of her films are: La Flor (Llinás, 2018), Historias Extraordinarias (Llinás, 2008), Castro (Moguillansky, 2009) and La Vendedora de Fósforos (Moguillansky, 2009). As director, her films are: Ostende (2011); La Mujer de los Perros (2015, in co-directed with Verónica Llinás), Las Poetas visitan a Juana Bignozzi (2019, co-directed with Mercedes Halfon) and Trenque Lauquen (2022). Trenque Lauquen was premiered at Venice International Film Festival and since then it has been awarded and recognized as one of the most particular and special pieces of last ten years. The film was also recognized as the best film of the year by Cahiers du Cinema on 2023. Also, was chosen best film by the Hainan Film Festival (2022). Citarella made her last film – a short film called El Affaire Miu Miu, produced by Miu Miu – Prada – on August 2024 and presented it at the Mostra di Venezia that same year.
