12月16日，第五届海南岛国际电影节“金椰奖”评委见面会于三亚举行。本届电影节评委会主席、土耳其导演努里·比格·锡兰携伊朗导演沙朗·莫克利，中国导演、演员大鹏，中国演员、监制黄晓明，中国演员马伊琍，中国编剧刘毅等剧情长片评委与各媒体记者见面。

On December 16, the jury meeting for the "Golden Coconut Awards" of the 5th Hainan Island International Film Festival was held in Sanya. Turkish director Nuri Bilge Ceylan, chairman of the jury of this film festival, Iranian director Shahram Mokri, Chinese director and actor Da Peng, Chinese actor and producer Huang Xiaoming, Chinese actress Ma Yili, Chinese screenwriter Liu Yi, and other judges of the feature film category met with media reporters.

目前评奖工作已经正式开始，将评选出最佳影片、最佳导演、评委会大奖、最佳男演员、最佳女演员、最佳编剧、最佳技术奖、最佳儿童片、最佳纪录片及最佳短片共十个奖项。各奖项将于12月22日闭幕式暨颁奖典礼上揭晓。

The judging process has officially begun and will select the Best Film, Best Director, Grand Jury Prize, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenwriter, Best Technical Award, Best Children's Film, Best Documentary, and Best Short Film, for a total of ten awards. The winners of each award will be announced at the HIIFF Closing Ceremony and Awards Ceremony on December 22.

第五届海南岛国际电影节由中央广播电视总台、海南省人民政府共同主办，主题为“海生万象·光影新力量”，共设开幕式、“金椰奖”竞赛、电影展映、金椰论坛、大师班、金椰嘉年华、闭幕式暨“金椰奖”颁奖典礼等板块。“金椰奖”从全球范围内征集到报名影片4018部，来自多个国家和地区的12部剧情长片、4部纪录长片与8部短片在众多作品中脱颖而出、成功入围。

The 5th Hainan Island International Film Festival is jointly organized by China Central Television and the Hainan Provincial People's Government under the theme "Panorama of Seaborn Views，Rising Stars of the Film Industry".The festival includes the opening ceremony, the "Golden Coconut Awards" competition, film screenings, the Golden Coconut Forum, master classes, the Golden Coconut Carnival, and the closing ceremony and the "Golden Coconut Awards" ceremony.A total of 4018 films were submitted for the "Golden Coconut Awards" from all over the world, among which 12 feature films, 4 feature documentaries, and 8 short films from various countries and regions stood out and successfully made it to the final selection.

电影节开幕式暨电影主题音乐会于12月16日盛大开幕，现场呈现了《笑傲江湖》《音乐之声》《CREATORS:THE PAST》等电影中的主题曲、插曲，用熟悉的旋律唤醒历久弥新、荡气回肠的光影记忆。

The opening ceremony and movie-themed concert of the HIIFF was held on December 16. The event featured theme songs and soundtracks from films such as "The Swordsman," "The Sound of Music," and "Creators: The Past," bringing back timeless and stirring movie memories with familiar melodies.

Golden Coconut Forum

电影节举办期间，海南自贸港电影产业高质量发展论坛、影视数字版权管理论坛暨电影科技创新论坛、纪录影像·人与自然和谐共生论坛等几大论坛将共同助力探讨中国电影产业、电影创作、未来影像的新愿景。

During the HIIFF, several major forums, including the Hainan Free Trade Port Film Industry High-Quality Development Forum, the Film and Television Digital Rights Management Forum&Film Technology Innovation Forum, and the Theme Forum on Documentary Image-Harmonious Coexistence between Man and Nature, will collectively contribute to exploring new visions for China's film industry, film creation, and the future of visual imagery.

在开幕论坛《海南自贸港电影产业高质量发展论坛》上，资深电影制片人娜塔莎·德维莱尔表示，她一直喜欢在中国拍电影，电影展示了海外无法通过新闻了解到的中国故事。她希望通过电影让全世界的人们了解更加精彩、立体的中国故事。她也经常在海南取景拍摄电影。12月19日，她在海南取景拍摄的影片《北京人：人类最后的秘密》在法国首映。

At the Golden Coconut Forum, veteran film producer Natasha DeVillers expressed her love for filming in China to showcase stories that foreign audiences cannot learn about through the news. She wants to use films to share more vivid and multidimensional Chinese stories with the world. She often shoots films on location in Hainan. On December 19, her film "Peking Man: The Last Secret of Mankind," shot in Hainan, premiered in France.

2023年12月17日，第五届海南岛国际电影节首场“大师班”开班，土耳其国宝级导演努里·比格·锡兰围绕艺术经验、审美体验等，详实介绍了电影创作的追求理念，与现场嘉宾、观众们分享了关于电影与哲学的思考与宝贵的经验。

Nuri Bilge Ceylan, a famous Turkish director, opened the first "Master Class" of the 5th Hainan International Film Festival on December 17, focusing on artistic and aesthetic experiences and providing a comprehensive introduction to the pursuit of filmmaking philosophy. He provided the audience and participants of the event with significant insights into the relationship between film and philosophy.

再度来到海南岛国际电影节，锡兰表示对海南电影节充满期待，“电影节是一个地方的灵魂，它可以改变这个地方给人的感觉。我觉得海南岛国际电影节也会改变海南的文化氛围，也会有更大的发展和空间。”
