5th HIFF Global Film Submission Now Launch

9月13日，第五届海南岛国际电影节全球征片启动仪式在三亚天丽湾凯悦酒店举行。此举标志着第五届海南岛国际电影节正式面向全球启动征片。

On September 13, the global film collection launch ceremony of the 5th Hainan Island International Film Festival was held at the Hyatt Regency Sanya Tianli Bay. This marks the official launch of the global film collection of the fifth HIIFF.

海南岛国际电影节致力于加强电影文化交流与合作，推动电影产业发展，促进电影创作繁荣，积极自觉担负起新的文化使命，努力成为建设中华民族现代文明的一支新的电影力量。

Hainan Island International Film Festival is committed to strengthening international film and cultural exchanges and cooperation, promoting the innovative development of the film industry, fostering creativity in filmmaking, taking on a new cultural mission, and striving to become a new film power in the construction of modern Chinese civilization.

本届电影节将秉承“全年展映、全岛放映、全民观影、全产业链”办节理念，围绕国际化、专业化、市场化的目标原则，充分利用海南自由贸易港的资源优势，坚持市场化运作方向，探索自身独特发展路径，打造中国进一步深化改革扩大对外开放和海南加快自由贸易港建设的文化交流窗口。

Adhering to the concept of "year-round screening, island-wide screening, film viewing for all people, and the whole industry chain development model", the 5th HIIFF will focus on the principles of "internationalization, specialization, and marketization" to make full use of Hainan FTP's resources, adhere to market-oriented operations, explore its own unique development direction, and create a cultural exchange window for China to further deepen reform and open up to the outside world, and for Hainan to accelerate the construction of FTP.

第五届海南岛国际电影节“金椰奖”竞赛分为剧情长片、纪录长片及剧情短片三大类别，设立最佳影片、最佳导演、评委会大奖、最佳男演员、最佳女演员、最佳编剧、最佳技术奖、最佳儿童片、最佳纪录片、最佳短片共10个奖项。

The "Golden Coconut Award" competition of the 5th HIIFF is divided into three categories: Feature Film, Feature Documentary and Feature Short Film. There are 10 awards in total: Best Film, Best Director, Jury Prize, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Technology Award, Best Children's Film, Best Documentary and Best Short Film.

本届“金椰奖”竞赛报名时间截止为2023年10月15日24点。影片征集通道已在海南岛国际电影节官方网站（www.hiiff.net）开通。入围影片将在电影节期间展映，获奖名单在闭幕式暨颁奖典礼公布并进行颁奖。

This "Golden Coconut Award" registration period will end at 24:00 on October 15, 2023. The official website of the Hainan Island International Film Festival (www.hiiff.net) now offers a film collection channel. The selected films will be screened during the festival, and the winners will be announced and awarded at the closing ceremony.

据悉，征片选片工作在保证艺术性的同时，将更大程度考量评奖的大众化和市场化价值，打造具有海南自由贸易港特色的“金椰奖”。

This film selection work will not only ensure the artistic quality of the greater extent but also focus on the popularization and market-oriented value of the awards so as to create the "Golden Coconut Award" with the characteristics of Hainan Free Trade Port.

At the launch ceremony, the official website (www.hiiff.net), the official WeChat account and the official Weibo account of the 5th HIIFF were launched simultaneously.

第五届海南岛国际电影节由中央广播电视总台、海南省人民政府主办，中共海南省委宣传部（省电影局）、海南省旅游和文化广电体育厅、海南省文学艺术界联合会、三亚市人民政府负责执行，三亚金椰海影有限责任公司负责承办。

The 5th HIIFF is hosted by The China Media Group and The People's Government of Hainan Province, co-organized by The Publicity Department of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, The Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television, and Sports of Hainan Province, The Hainan Federation of Writers and Artists, and The People's Government of Sanya City, and implemented by Sanya Golden Coconut Film Co., Ltd.
