7th Hainan Island International Film Festival 2025

This year's HIIFF announced the SPOTLIGHT section, which features Argentine director MARIANO LLINÁS and French director SYLVAIN GEORGE, to screen their latest non-fiction "trilogy". They will also come to Sanya, Hainan, to join the after screening talk.

The SPOTLIGHT is reshaped into a new viewing position here. It’s such great honour to showcase their Obscure Night (trilogy) and Mondongo (trilogy). Although the two directors present completely different creative paths, they all share the same focus on the rich relationship between the real world and the form of image:
